This is a convenience translation of the German privacy policy (“Datenschutzerklärung”). Only the German version is legally binding.

In short

This website sets no cookies, uses no tracking and no analytics services. All fonts, images and audio samples are served by this server itself. No data is passed to Google, Facebook or other services.

Server log files

When you open this website, the server automatically stores technical information in so-called log files: your IP address, date and time, the page requested and the browser used. This is technically necessary to deliver the website and to operate it securely. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in secure operation). Log files are rotated daily and deleted automatically after seven days at the latest. They are not combined with other data.

If you write to me, I use your details only to answer your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) or (f) GDPR. I do not pass them on, and I delete them once the enquiry is dealt with and no statutory retention obligation applies.

Text size setting

If you change the text size at the top of the page, your browser remembers this choice in its local storage. The value does not leave your device and is not sent to the server.

Links to other websites

This website links to other providers, for example BoD (Books on Demand) and Neptun Media. Once you click such a link, the privacy policy of the respective provider applies.

Your rights

You have the right to information about the data stored about you, and to rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. Simply contact me using the details above. You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority; in Hesse this is the Hessian Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information.
